Christmas Party 2013

As an student, Christmas party is the most awaited event in our school. It has a lot of games, food, music, and exchange gifts. This Christmas party is one of the opportunity to have fun with your classmates and schoolmates too. As time goes by, I realize that the spirit of Christmas is still exist to the young people today.

This Christmas party based on what I mentioned through my title, it is not the most memorable for me but I just remember it, not because it will turn 10 years but it is the longest Christmas party I ever encountered. The party started at probably 9:00 in the morning and it ended at probably 4:00 in the afternoon. So, here's the story.

I was Grade 8 during that time and I was so excited for the Christmas party, not because of my classmates but because majority of my friends are joining too, so I have an opportunity to have bonding with them (even though I have friends and at the same time, my classmates too). Before party, I was thinking on how would I look for the party. I bought some rhinestone sticker, prepare my t-shirt and pants I'm gonna wear, etc. During that time, I was really admire the fashion of my favorite 2000s icon and this was my inspiration for my wear.

So this is the day of Christmas party (December 18, 2013). I was very excited because I would see my friends there. I was so excited to come to school and see my friends. My wear was inspired to the 2000s fashion. I really love it. My classmates were enjoying the party while me, I was hanging out with my friends and taking a selfie too. Few hours ago, the game was starting. After that, the food was ready and we were enjoying our food.

After that, I remember that we waited for so long to another program, either it is another game or exchange gift, I did not know. All I had to do was to wait to continue the party. During that time, I heard a rumor that our adviser during that time was upset. I heard that majority of them said that our adviser got upset because the ice cream got easily ran out. I had no idea. However, during the time I was waiting for the party to continue, I was taking a picture of my friends and vice versa. Besides that, I was making some friends from one of my friends' classmates.

After waiting for so long, finally the party continued. It had another game and after the game, the exchange gift occur. I was almost getting upset because I really want to go home but the party was not yet done. After few minutes, finally the party is over. The Christmas break was officially starts after the Christmas party.

Although it is not the most memorable for me, I realize that everything has change. At least, I experienced this. If someone ask me if it is better to celebrate Christmas before the changes occur or to celebrate it in the modern time? I prefer to answer it is better to celebrate it like in the modern time. The only thing will never change probably is the way how I wear. However, the only thing should we never forget is the reason why we celebrate Christmas.
